When we say we’re here for you and your smile, we mean it — now more than ever. The entire team at Bright Smile Dental by Alejandro Cavazos would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that we never compromise when it comes to your oral and overall health. We’re going out of our way to do everything we can to make sure you and your family feel safe, comfortable, and protected when you’re in our San Antonio dental office.
What Can I Expect?
The day before your dental appointment, someone from our office will be sending you a COVID-19 questionnaire. On the day of your visit, we’ll be checking your temperature when you arrive at the office. We will also ask you to complete the COVID-19 questionnaire upon arrival. We’ll ask you if you’ve been experiencing feverish temperatures recently and any possible flu-like symptoms. You’ll also be asked about your potential exposure to other people who might be COVID-19 positive. Our staff is also requesting that all visitors to the office practice social distancing and wear a mask upon arriving at the office.
Sterilization and Disinfection
We’ve never compromised in terms of sterilization and safety. Now, universal precautions have been expanded with newly added measures to continue to provide a thoroughly clean environment. Our entire team is proud to follow all American Dental Association (ADA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other reputable guidelines in our office, creating a safe environment for patients. Our office is a COVID-19 Certified Clean Business, having passed the COVID-19 cleanliness test. You can click here to view our Certificate of Cleanliness.
You’ll also see that we’re using disposable barriers on all high-touch surfaces. We’re wiping and disinfecting all surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants that are designed to kill bacteria and viruses on contact. Our team will also be wiping and sanitizing all rooms after every patient treatment is complete. We’ll continue to thoroughly sterilize all instruments in our high-powered autoclave. We wash and disinfect door handles, chairs, armrests, and countertops.
Personal Protective Equipment
In order to protect ourselves and our patients while aiding in the prevention of future viral transmissions, our clinical team will be wearing KN-95 masks, face shields, and hospital gowns.
We anticipate appointments taking a bit longer and having to allow for a little more time in between patients to accommodate our additional sterilization protocols. We’ll be expanding our normal treatment schedule and seeing patients during non-normal business hours, if necessary, to allow for proper care for new and current patients.
Everyone in our office truly appreciates your patience and understanding during these trying times. If you have any questions or concerns about an upcoming appointment, please feel free to reach out to us online or by phone at 210-281-5115.
